Back to the Guys
I finished my speculative fiction story and got it in under the deadline at ERWA. It still needs a ton of work, but getting comments from readers helps to define the weaknesses. Until I decide to polish it though, I'm back to Hector and Sam. *sigh* If they didn't have some major problems, there would be no real reason for a second book, but they do. On one hand, I'm fond of Hector and Sam and want things to work out for them. On the other hand, Sam has to make some changes if the third book is going to work, so I have to put him through it. Otherwise, he'll never change. (the stubborn little brat) I did enjoy writing the scene with Deal. She's such a shark. But this scene with Hector, Brett and Sam is no fun, and it's just the start of bad things ahead. I spent some time daydreaming about the third book. That was fun. Hector and Sam in Venice. You just know that Hector will be in his element. He is the God of Love, after all. I'm picturing a hotel room full of roses, Sam and Hector cuddling together in the corner of a small Venetian restaurant, and a long gondola ride through the quieter canals with a discreet, unobtrusive gondolier. |
