Just For Charlie

Pix from a couple years ago when I was in Pompeii. Only a geek like me would find this fascinating, but those sink-like wells in the counter were storage for olives, oilive oil, dates, etc. So this place was like the local deli. This is the one body they have on dispaly. It isn't a good pic, but the sensation that I was violating his humanity was too strong, so I didn't take a better shot. However, I had no problem snapping pics of shirtless visitors. Okay, go down this road, and just follow the directional penises and you'll find it... A couple pictures from the "menu" at the whorehouse. Alas, our tour guide would not slow down on our forced death march, so I had no time to focus better or take flash shots. This faun statue is famous. It's from the large entryway of the local governor's large house. I think it's interesting that the faun doesn't have cloven hooves. (I think if you click on the pcitures, you'll see them bigger) Oh, how did that tall drink of shirtless water wander into my pic? *bats eyelashes* Bonus: A gondolier from Venice.
