Bitching about cover art seems to be the second favorite pastime of authors. I've been lucky. The cover art for Chaos Magic and Love Runes is great. I'm waiting with tapping feet to see the cover for Personal Demons. I hope it has the same feel and color palette as the other covers. Chaos Magic was centered around the Gods, so it was right that the cover was an altar. The climax (heh. in erotica, there are a lot of those) of Love Runes took place during Beltane in the woods, so the forest cover fit. So what are they going to do with Personal Demons? Much of the story takes place outside Hector and Sam's home. Venice, Toronto, Palm Springs, Sundance Film Festival, a tropical island in the middle of nowhere, and the red carpets of Hollywood premiers. There's even a steamy scene in the back of a limo. It's a departure from the homey vibe of the other stories. Yes, they asked my opinion, but I always tell them to ignore me and do something better since I suck at it. I did suggest a gondolier and the Rialto Bridge. But who knows what it'll turn out to be? With only two months to go before release, it has to be done soon. Right?
