Bassackward

In a non-typical bassackward move, I wrote my vampire novella Bonded first, then in the grip of the characters, wrote a short story, The Quality of Mercy, that takes place earlier. Lucky for me, Torquere had a slot for Quality of Mercy (March 20th) before the release date for Bonded (mid to late April), so at least they'll be released in order. Now I'm thinking of writing shorts for each of the vampires that join Brandr's coven (or whatever a group of vampires is called) before Tyler comes into their lives. I have a novella, or possibly a novel, in mind that would be a continuation of Bonded, depending on how the characters are received. So far, my vampires only had to confront circumstances, but if I write the novella that follows Bonded, I need a villain who will their the stories together. *starts casting call*
